My Inspiration

Below are the people I most want to make proud.

Jean's Writing, to connect with other writers of fiction, flashfiction, fantasy and to learn more about the art of writing. I've learned a lot about writing since starting these blogs from this world community of writers.

I have loved reading all my life, and tried to instill that love of reading to my children and grandchildren. Bedtime reading was one of the most fun times in our home. Library cards became a rite of passage as our girls, and grandchildren became old enough to sit quietly through reading hour at the library.

Jean's eReading , I started after I my children gave me a Kindle for Christmas. I love reading on my Kindle and the bargains that are available through Amazon.com.  This has opened up new opportunities to try new authors and share my finds online through my blog. To share books that others might enjoy reading too through my reviews which are published on Amazon.com and Goodreads.com.  I love to read almost anything especially if it makes me smile, but also books that keep me on the edge of my seat.  I am a voracious reader. I will even finish a so-so book just  in the hope it will get better before the end. What I don’t like are sad books. Wish I had the talent to write a really good book. But don't we all. Give me good entertainment

  1. Well, I guess you won't enjoy reading my books because I love sappy, feel good stories with happy endings. But, that's okay and hopefully I will find other people who do enjoy what I write.
I have also become fascinated with family stories and historical fiction. I recently wrote a story about my great grandfather who was a circuit riding preacher with the Methodist church during the Civil War. It is entitled: Grace and Mercy Brought us Through.

    1. LOL Phyllis thanks for stopping by. Believe it or not I do like historical fiction and love stories with happy endings. Just not sappy endings. There is a difference. I am going to hop over to visit your website.

  2. I so that too, finish a book thinking it has to get better.

    1. I need to amend "about ME" over the past year I've discovered it more and more difficult to finish reading so-so books. Writing and editing my own pieces and working with other writers is the reason. The more I learn the more I want to learn and the harder it is to settle. I'm not sure if that's good or bad.
